Thought for the Day

“Two thousand years ago, when narrow pride and thick ignorance defiled mankind, Jesus came as the Embodiment of Love and Compassion and lived among people, holding forth the highest ideals of life. You must pay attention to the lessons He elaborated in the various stages of His life. His first declaration was, “I am the messenger of God”. Yes, each individual has to accept that role and live as examples of divine love and charity.”

Thought for the Day

Love and Respect your mother, obey her commands. Never disrespect your mother or hurt her feelings. Try to satisfy her in all respects. Only then will the seed of devotion sprout in you. Mother protects her children in many ways. Even after death, she will come back and help you. Everyone should follow the dictum, Mathru Devo Bhava (Mother is God) in letter and spirit, and receive their mother's love. Mother Easwaramma was full of love and sacrifice and she led a life of fulfilment and peace…. each one of you should make your mother happy. If your mother is happy, Swami is happy.

Thought for the Day

Hanuman was a great hero in the episode of Ramayana. He was courageous, mighty and invincible. He possessed good qualities of character and peace. He was always happy and cheerful, chanting the divine name of Rama. You should also develop such noble qualities. First and foremost, you should become a human being in the true sense. You should develop kindness toward all. Only then do you deserve to be identified as belonging to mankind.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

In the present Age of Kali, there is so much hatred between brothers. When there is no unity within the family, is it possible to bring about unity amidst all persons in this world? In many platform speeches, people address each other as brothers and sisters. We must ask ourselves whether such words are coming from the depths of our hearts or whether we are simply reading them from a piece of paper. If you truly mean the words ‘brothers and sisters’ from the depths of your heart, you most definitely will win the grace of the Lord and good consequences will follow.

THOUGHT FOR THE-DAY

EMBODIMENTS of Love! The hall-mark of love is thyaaga (selfless sacrifice). Love seeks

nothing from anyone. It bears no ill-will towards anyone. It is utterly selfless and pure.

Failing to understand the true nature of love, man yearns for it in various ways. Love has to

be cherished with feelings of selflessness and sacrifice. In what is deemed as love in the

world--whether it be maternal love, brotherly love, or friendship---there is an element of

selfishness. Only God's love is totally free from the taint of selfishness.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Embodiments of Love! Remember that time is fleeting. Time and tide wait for no one. Time will not submit itself to you. You have to surrender to it. Time is its own master. Hence, you must strive to make proper use of Time. Every second should be filled with purposeful action. What is the meaning of a life in which from waking in the morning to sleeping at night one is concerned only about his belly and has no thought of God? What is the result of all this hectic activity? Has it given a single moment of real joy? Purposeful living can come only by contemplation of God.

Be of service to others, for that is giving yourself to Me. For whatever you give, I will repay you thrice, Nay I shall repay you ten-fold. Try Me and you will see. I say to those who know the joy of giving, look back! Yes, look back and see how each time you felt that nothing but a miracle could save you, keep you alive, fill your larder, save your son, stop a disaster - has not that miracle happened? Divine guidance is always at the side of the giver. Yes, I will give to those who give of themselves, untold Joy and Bliss; and what is more, I will lead them by the hand along those petal strewn paths of Eternal Joy.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

You must realise that greatness related to power, position or wealth is transient. It is lost when power and position go. But goodness is respected always. Therefore dedicate your lives to goodness. What is goodness? It is living according to Dharma and justice, to love all and cherish faith in God, to help the needy and raise the lowly--all these constitute goodness

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Do all lucky people who possess wealth, gold, riches and comfort have peace? Are all highly learned people, or those of extraordinary beauty, or of superhuman physical strength, in peace with themselves and the world? No! The reason for this lack of peace in many is that they forget the divine basis of creation. All lives lived without faith and devotion to the Supreme Lord are despicable lives; they are all wasted chances.
